LIGHT IT IN RED

This Project was part of the WE MAKE EVENTS campaign - Light It In Red. This campaign saw venues all across the UK and the world, light their venues up in red on two occasions in support of the live events and entertainment industry. This particular project was for their second "red alert" day. I worked alongside other members of the course and Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) staff in order to create ideas for the event before putting it all together on the day. As LPAC had already lit the outside of the venue in red in for the past we make events campaign, the brief we had was to create something different and inside the venue. We also had a time limit of being done by 4pm on the day so that the photos could be sent across to the social media and marketing team at LPAC, in order for them to put them out in time. We decided to light up the main auditorium in red and as well as some of the key backstage areas we use while in the venue. We turned each area red through the use of LED lights and gels, sometimes adding blue to add a contrast and more depth into the area.
